There are many attractions in and around, like, Mysore Palace, St. Philomena's Cathedral, Zoo, Chamundihill, Brindavan Gardens, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Daria Daulat Bagh and Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangapatna Many hotes and resorts are available in and around city, my recommendation: Mayura River View, Srirangapatna Suggest for 2N-3D trip, camera is not allowed inside Mysore palace, you have to walk almost 2 km to visit Brindavan Garden, visit the garden during weekend and evening to enjoy light & sound show, must try local cuisine in Mysore
Belur
The Chennakeshava Temple, also known as Keshava Temple Few hotes are available in Belur town, there are many homestays surrounded Belur town This artistic temple was built during Hoysala Empire, beautiful sculptures which you will never forget, you can plan for a day trip
Halebeedu
Hoysaleshwara Temple and Kedareshwar Temple Only Mayura Shantala Hotel Hoysaleshwara Temple is the most popular temple here built during Hoysala Empire, beautiful sculptures, you can plan for a day trip
Somnathpura
Chennakesava Temple, also known as Keshava Temple There is no hotel closeby temple Chennakesava temple was built during Hoysala Empire on a star shape planform on the banks of river Kaveri, beautiful sculptures, you can plan for a day trip from Mysore or Bangalore
Lepakshi
Lepakshi Veerabhadra Swamy Temple, Nandi/Stone Bull There are few small hotels closeby temple This 500+ years old temple holds lot of beautiful sculptures, don't forget to see the gorgeous paintings on temple roof, for best photography visit this place an afternoon during rainy season, you can plan for a day trip from Bangalore
Shravanabelagola
Gommateshwara Bahubali statue There are few small hotels and a Yatri Nivas closeby temple Gommateshwara Bahubali statue is most important tirthas (pilgrimage destinations) in Jainism. You need to climb around 700 steps to reach to the Bahubali statue on hilltop, avoid visiting this place during summer, you can plan for a day trip from Bangalore

Sri Vidyashankara temple, Adi Shankara matha (monastery) There are few small hotels and a Yatri Nivas closeby temple The Sringeri matha and Sri Vidyashankara temple are on the banks of the Tunga River, this shiva temple is an important pilgrimage for hindus, the sculptures on temple wall are beautiful, good for a day trip
Kushalnagar
Tibetan Monastery and Golden Temple of Kushalnagar. The hill stations on Coorg, Nagarhole National Park as well as Mysore is closeby There are many hotel, resorts in and around Kushalnagar, my recommendation: Coorg Jungle Camp Backwater Resort Gorgeous Golden Temple at Kushalnagar is one of the major attraction of Karnataka. You can go for a day trip to Nagarhole National Park, there are many attractions surrounded Kushalnagar, must try authentic tibetan cuisine
Madurai
The city has a number of historical monuments, the Meenakshi Temple and the Tirumalai Nayak Palace are the most popular There are many hotels and resorts in and around city Suggest for 1N-2D trip, the Meenakshi temple is famous for it’s colorful wall paintings and beautiful sculptures, Maduri is major pilgrimage site for hindus. Tirumalai Nayak Palace looks gorgeous during late afternoon, nice place for photography
Chidambaram
Nataraja Temple There are many hotels and Yatri Nivas in and around city Chidambaram is popular for Nataraja Temple built by 10th-century during Chola kingdom. The sculptures on body of the temple are wonderful, good for a day trip, must try local cuisine
Rameswaram
Rameswaram Siva temple, Dhanushkodi, Dhanushkodi Beach, Shri Ram Setu View Point There are many hotels and Yatri Nivas in and around city Rameswaram has many histories, first of all the journey to Rameswaram is thrilling since you need to cross the longest bridge on sea. The Corridor of 1000 pillars inside Rameswaram Siva temple is gorgeous. Do not miss the abandoned town Dhanushkodi, the drive route is memerable. You can drive till Shri Ram Setu View Point which is the last point/land of India
Chitradurga
Chitradurga Fort, Obavvana Kindi, Chandravalli Archaeological Site There are many hotels in and around city Good for a day trip from Bangalore, Chitradurga Fort is the most popular one in this historical town, nice place for photography, avoid visiting during summer
Ratnagiri Hills
Ratnagiri Fort No hotel Good place for a day trip from Bangalore if you love adventure. Madhugiri fort is closeby or you can visit on the way. You need to trek to reach top of the fort, views are good, avoid visiting during summer
Nandi Hills
Yoga Nandeeshwara Temple, Tipu's fort, Nandi temple which is below hills at Nandi village, Tipu Sultan's Birth Place Hotel Maurya PineTop KSTDC Nandi Hills, there are many resorts below hills Nice place for a day trip from Bangalore, suggest to reach hill top early morning before sunrise. You can visit Tipu Sultan's Birth Place which is next to NH44 at Devanahalli town
Kolar Gold Field/K.G.F
The ruins of old buildings, gold mines and old factories There are few small hotels closeby, good for a day trip from Bangalore With the growth of the Gold Mines and the resulting demand for labors the KFG town was established late 18th century. The town become much popular mid of 19th century. The ruins of these structures and some memorabilia continue to exist even today. You can see, old churches, buildings made during British age, gold mines (sealed), old factories, etc. It’s good place for street photographer. Till date it’s one of the important industrial town in Karnataka.
Devarayana Durga
Yoganarasimha and the Bhoganarasimha temples, natural beauty No hotels, good place for a day trip from Bangalore The rocky hills are surrounded by forest and the hilltops are dotted with several temples including the Yoganarasimha and the Bhoganarasimha temples. Madhugiri fort is closeby or you can visit by same day. You need to trek to reach top of the fort, views are good, this place is beautiful during rainy season.
Shivagange
Sri Honnammadevi Temple is inside the cave, Sri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple is also inside the cave, Gavi means Cave Few small hotels and Yatri Nivas are there at foothill, good place for a day trip from Bangalore The sacred mountain is shaped as a shivalinga and a spring flows near locally called "Ganga". River Kumudvathi has its origin in the Shivagange hills and it is a tributary of river Arkavati. Shivagange is major pilgrimage site for hindus. Clibming top of the hill is not easy, views are good from hill top, avoid during summer.
Avani
Sita temple and natural beauty Few small hotels and Yatri Nivas are there at foothill, good place for a day trip from Bangalore Avani is a small village around 25km from Kolar and 70km from Bangalore. The Avani temple is one of the few temples dedicated to Sitadevi in India. Epic says, Sitadevi gave birth to her twin children Lava-Kusha here. Even today the room where Sita gave birth to her children exists. Thare are lot of lakes and wetland at foothill which is good place for bird photography
Bekal Fort
Historical fort Few hotels and guest houses are there, it's good place for a day trip from Mangalore or Udupi It is the largest fort in Kerala, next to Arabian sea. The views of sea shore from Bekal fort are beautiful. I would suggest to visit this place during rainy season. Bekal fort is also popular for movie shooting spot, "Bombay" is one of them.
Manjarabad Fort
Historical fort There are many homestays and resorts are there in and around Sakleshpura. Manjarabad fort is only star fort in Karnataka, built by Tipu Sultan. I would suggest to visit this place during rainy season. You can plan for a day trip if you visit Sakleshpura or Belur or Mudigere,
